Violet POV

After sitting through the most torturous dinner of my life that nearly lasted way past midnight, I was relieved when Lady Aurelia announced that she couldn’t keep her eyes open anymore and wished to sleep.

I couldn’t be happier.

I got up from my seat and cleared my throat.

“I want to thank you and Alpha Alaric for giving me a chance to dine with you. It was truly exceptional and I will always cherish this wonderful moment.”

Alpha Alaric and Lady Aurelia smiled at me as they retired to sleep. 

Nicole, Nate, Cassie and Elijah all kept staring at me, waiting for the moment until their parents or whatever twisted relationship they all shared were out of earshot.
