Chapter 18. Escalator Encounter

We stepped on the escalator leading to the department store which was on the second floor. When we arrived at the mall earlier, I first took her to the food stores on the first floor. She was very excited to see many different types of foods and had found it a little difficult in making her choices. I brought her to DS Shopping Mall, the biggest in Sacramento. I was holding her hand as she seriously budged me with questions.

“Tell me Diva, why did the employees at the food stores greet you with so much respect and humility? Is it because you are a very popular dancer? No! That couldn’t be the reason. Since we stepped in Diva Scotts Shopping Mall every single employee had bowed in greeting you. They greeted you like you were the owner of the mall.” I laughed as she continued in her dilemma.
