Chapter 128. Full Trust

Ellie's POV

Well, can I? No, right? What I feel for him is so strong and luring to toss aside. Besides, we all have stains. And some are permanent. They will be there to haunt us forever. To remind us of the things we did.

"No,” I start, “but listen, Damian." I grip his hands tightly. "There are three things I hate the most: sharing, betrayal, and infidelity. Those are things that I can never forgive. So, please, for the sake of what we have, always stay true to me."

He takes a moment to look at me, and for a moment I thought he wouldn’t respond. Or that he cannot agree to my demand. But he finally says, "I will. Promise! But always remember that I am not a saint to do everything right. At such times when you feel like I should have done things differently, just let the love that you feel for me speak on my behalf."

And here he goes again. Sounding like a heart philosopher.  What is this that he always talks about? "Okay."
