Chapter 132
Murphy POV
Myles fucking Voss was alive, calm and confident like he hadn’t been chewed up and spat out by the same streets I owned. My men stared at me, waiting, and Kane leaned forward, eyes sharp.
“Who’s that, boss?”
I didn’t answer. Just held the phone to my ear, silently. Myles didn’t speak either. It was two predators circling, both waiting for the other to blink first and finally I chuckled low and coldly.
“You’ve got a real death wish, calling me. Wanting to see me face-to-face? You must be dumber than you look.”
On the other end, his voice came steady.
“You’re fucked too, Murphy. Don’t act like you don’t know it. The feds are on your ass. I’m the only one who can help you right now.”
I sneered.
“The only thing you can help me with is target practice.”
“Listen to me,” he snapped. “The best thing you can do is meet me and hear me out. Otherwise, you’ll be in cuffs before sunrise. You think the feds don’t already know
