Chapter 55. Protector

Ally's POV

My heart hammers against my ribcage, every instinct screaming at me to run, but I know flight is futile. Dawn, my wolf, stirs within me, her growl resonating in my bones. She, too, senses the impending violence, the war about to erupt between blood.

"Leave us," Elliot's command slices through the tension, his stance protective before me. "I won't let you take her."

"Let me?" Nathan's laugh is cruel, a sound that sends shivers down my spine. "This is not about permission, dear brother. This is about power. And I will have Ally, one way or another."

Words are useless now; they're swallowed by the roar of conflict as it ignites. Elliot moves with lethal precision, his own wolf bearing its teeth in defiance. They clash in a dance of dominance and fury, while I stand frozen, torn between the urge to fight and the knowledge that any interference could be disastrous.
