Chapter 10. His Past

Letting out a yawn, Ellise sat up on Dre’s bed. He was lying on the bed beside her, his features serene. She leaned closer to him, brushing his hair away from his face.

Never in a million years did she believe that she would date such a man.

She quietly raised her hand to shield his face from the rays of light coming from the morning sun. After a few minutes, he stirred. Letting out a groan, his long eyelashes fluttered against his slightly tanned skin. His eyelids were lifted slowly, revealing his bright green eyes. He smiled when his gaze locked with hers.

“How long have you been watching me sleep?” He asked and she blushed, dropping her gaze.

“Now, now, don’t get all shy on me, darling. I am all yours remember?”

“I can’t help it. It feels surreal, knowing that I have such a gorgeous man all to myself,” she said, a small smile tugging at her lips.
