Chapter 51. The Attack

Sushmita’s POV

I cried a lot that night because of too much pain physically and mentally while Rodney was sleeping beside me. He was so drunk and tired and I couldn’t go to sleep.

I dipped myself into the warm water of the bathtub to take a bath. My tears kept rolling down my face and I couldn’t stop it, I don’t know why.

I stared at the ceiling while dipping myself into the bathtub and I didn’t know that I was falling asleep, my vision started to get blurry but I didn’t care. I feel so lifeless and hopeless right now.

I felt the water on my face as I sank myself deep into the bathtub. It felt like I was in the ocean as I pictured the beautiful island of El Nido, Palawan where I met Rod. I wish he didn’t leave me that night, I wish he knows that I love him and I cannot forget about him.

I came into my senses when Rodney pulled me up into the bathtub.

“Hey, are you alright?! I’m here, it’s fine, I’m here baby,” he said while hugging me tight.
