Chapter 55. The Annulment

Sushmita’s POV

As soon as we finished making love with each other Rodney handed me some documents. He was standing in front of me while holding a glass of Brandy in his hand and I’m just sitting on the bed while my naked body is covered by the comforter.

“What’s this?” I asked.

“Open it,” he commanded, so I obeyed him and opened it.

I read everything, it’s an annulment paper. I was confused. I thought he wanted to make it up with me but he wants us to separate instead. I burst into anger and deep sadness as my tears came rolling down my cheeks. I was shaking really bad.

“What’s wrong with you?! What is this?” I asked him but he’s just emotionless.

“Just sign it and leave,” he simply said.

“I don’t understand, you treated me for a date and now you want us to separate, how is that?” I asked.

“Because it’s the only thing I can give you right now, and it’s the first and last time that I will do it. I don’t deserve you Sushmita, so I’m sett
