Chapter 37. Delon's Departure
The sound of shattering objects erupted from Aurora's room. Maria was startled and immediately woke up Hendrik, who was in a deep sleep. Equally surprised, Hendrik leaped off the bed and rushed toward Aurora's room. Hysterical screams and heartbreaking sobs could be heard as Maria followed Hendrik, who arrived first in Aurora's room.
"Oh God, Aurora!" Maria exclaimed, her hand covering her mouth as she saw Aurora sitting in the corner of the bed, clutching her knees, tears streaming down her face. With a trembling body and tears flowing like a river, Maria slowly approached Aurora, who was now in the comforting embrace of Hendrik, her husband.
"You're safe, my love, calm down!" Hendrik whispered while showering Aurora's forehead with kisses. Aurora slowly lifted her face, looking into Hendrik's eyes, filled with concern.
Aurora bit her lower lip, trying to stifle her sobs, her body still trembling. Those nightmares always haunted her every time she tried to close her eyes
