Before I left his office, he invited me to talk to him again, “Miss Lilith. First, schedule a meeting with Corp as soon as possible,” he said, looking at me seriously.

Mr. Hyung continued, “Come to me when you have a definite date,” he clarified.

“Understood, sir,” I replied confidently.

I slowly exited Mr. Hyung’s office, maintaining a professional demeanor. When I reached the doorway, I glanced back at him sitting at his desk with documents in hand. He looked incredibly handsome, but I couldn’t afford to think about that. I had to stay focused on my work.

I continued to walk, forcing a smile, and trying to stay motivated. “I can’t dwell on that. I need to get back to work now,” I thought.

When I was still staring at my boss’s back, slowly walking away towards his office, there were mixed feelings in my heart. As usual, interactions with the boss always make me feel tense, even in short conversations.

When I got back to my desk, the anxiety and e
