Chapter 1
I’m awkward. I was in my boss Hyung Woo’s workspace, watching him. He was seriously reading the report results through his glasses, which somehow made him look even more handsome. I couldn’t help myself; my body trembled. I felt a strange rush of arousal.
I braced myself, forcing composure, ready to answer any question he might ask.
“What made you come, Lilith?” he asked, not looking up from his report.
His question caught me off guard, snapping me out of the illusion.
“You have a meeting with FH Trading tomorrow morning and another executive meeting, sir,” I replied quickly.
His eyes met mine. He’s a handsome man with perfect posture. I squeezed my thighs tightly under my short skirt, trying to hold back the rising heat. To distract myself, I spoke again.
“Representatives from Commerce would like you to join them for dinner, sir,” I added, voice slightly trembling.
He removed the cigarette butt from his lips and replied, “Just arrange it later.”
My face flushed. I clutched my skirt even tighter.
“All right, sir,” I murmured.
I bowed to ask permission to leave.
“I’m done, sir.”
“Miss Lilith, do you have a moment?” he said, stopping me. I turned to look at him.
“Yes, sir. Do you need anything else?” I asked, trying not to sound flustered.
He placed the cigarette in the ashtray and looked at me seriously.
“I want you to clear your schedule tonight,” he said, voice low.
My face burned. I felt a wetness grow beneath me. I had reached the peak of my arousal. I lowered my face, feeling embarrassed.
“Could you do that for me, Miss Lilith?” he asked again, more gently.
I tried to steady myself and smiled weakly.
“O-of course, I’ll clear my schedule, sir.”
He hadn’t used that title since our unexpected night meeting.
“You may go, Miss Lilith,” he said, waving his hand.
I bowed slightly, said goodbye, and left his office. I rushed to the restroom, trying to breathe calmly.
“Haa… It’s been three months. I never thought my life would turn out like this…” I whispered.
I closed my eyes and felt my face heat up again, my whole body warming.
***
Three months ago…
I was sitting at a bar, trying to forget my boss and maybe find someone to distract me tonight. I blended in with the crowd, and soon caught the attention of a man.
Then, someone tapped my shoulder.
“Hey, you have a partner tonight?” he asked, smiling.
“No, I don’t,” I said, turning toward him.
The large man’s hand found my waist. In a place like this, getting a partner was easy.
“That’s good… Do you mind if I join you? If allowed, I’d like to buy you a drink,” he offered.
The man’s smile reminded me of my boss. Just that resemblance made my body heat up slightly.
“Yes, of course. You may sit here,” I said, smiling.
I allowed him to join me—maybe because he looked a bit like my boss.
“Great. I’ll get us a drink now,” he said, standing.
I rested my chin in my hand and studied him more closely. His resemblance to my boss was striking. My face flushed red.
I’ve been in love with my boss, Hyung Woo, for a year now. I know—it’s weird for an employee to fall for her boss. But it was love at first sight. I’ve kept my feelings hidden for one reason: he’s engaged to another woman. I didn’t want to burden him with emotions he didn’t ask for.
So I just watched from afar and tried to suppress the heat in my body whenever he smiled.
But eventually, I had to release those feelings—on someone else.
I once had a one-night stand with a man who resembled my boss. I never expected him to look so much like Hyung Woo. I let them approach me if they looked like him.
In the end, I needed someone who could satisfy me at night after I spent the day holding in arousal caused by my boss.
But deep down, I knew random encounters weren’t enough. I needed a man who resembled him to give me the satisfaction I couldn’t get otherwise.
“Hey, are you daydreaming?” the man said, returning with two dark cocktails.
I smiled at him.
“Here’s your drink. Cheers,” he said, holding out the glass.
“Yes, thank you,” I replied.
Watching him talk and laugh like my boss made it easier to enjoy the illusion.
“I know this might sound cheesy, but I feel like we’re meant to be,” he said with a grin that mirrored my boss’s.
“Hahaha, you’re funny. Slow down, we just met tonight,” I said, teasing him.
I leaned in, studying him up close.
“Come to think of it… idiots like him are fun in bed. And someone like him won’t cause any problems afterward,” I whispered to myself.
I tugged at his collar and whispered clearly,
“I like men who are bold and daring.”
His face flushed red.
“Does that mean you like me?” he asked, grinning nervously.
I gave him a mischievous smile.
“Why don’t we continue this conversation… in the bedroom?” I suggested.
His face burned, body twitching with excitement. He couldn’t stay still. He was aroused now.
I leaned closer, our bodies nearly touching, and whispered again,
“Without clothes tonight?”
I leaned into his chest, hearing his heartbeat race. He hugged me tightly.
“Y-yes, we will,” he said, breath quickening.
God, he was so turned on, he couldn’t think. I thought he had fallen into my trap—just what I needed.
But then, I turned—and froze.
My boss was at the same bar.
My heart stopped. I panicked.
“That’s… Mr. Hyung Woo. What is he doing here?” I whispered under my breath.
I remembered earlier at the office. He had spoken to me.
“I’m going for my appointment,” he’d said casually.
“Alright, see you tomorrow, Mr. Hyung Woo,” I had replied.
“Wait… was this bar his appointment?”
“But he’s engaged… to that terrifying woman. Why is he at a random date bar?”
He turned his face toward me. Our eyes met.
My chest tightened.
“Sh-sh*t.”
