Chapter 24. My Father

Shimma’s POV

I laid on his chest, his hands wrapped around me. The rain had just stopped.

Five minutes ago was nothing I have ever felt. Sex with Mr. Mattias was always different. As with time, it always got better. Like we grow more passionate towards each other.

“Why weren’t you at work today? You got me so worried,” Mr. Mattias asked. What do I tell him? There was no appropriate reason. I couldn’t tell Jim about my dad’s sudden change. I couldn’t tell him I stayed up all night, because I couldn’t sleep. What should I tell him?

“I felt a little sick, but I’m getting better now,” I mumbled.

“What?! Why didn’t you tell me, we wouldn’t have…”

“No, I’m fine now, my mum said that I only felt sick because of work, but, with time, I’ll adjust to the routine,”

“You would have called me. I tried reaching you but it wasn’t reachable, you got me so worried,” he said, his voice filled with so much concern.
