Shimma’s POV
I blinked hard, my heart racing. Blake was here, and a surge of anger welled up inside me. How could my parents set me up like this? Did they really think I’d just forget everything and fall back into my old life?
“Shimma?” Blake asked, his voice cutting through my thoughts. He looked surprised—maybe even a little unsure. But I couldn’t focus on his expression; all I felt was fury.
“What’s going on?” I snapped, not bothering to hide my irritation. “Did my parents send you here?”
Blake’s eyes widened. “What? No! I just came to visit some friends.” He looked genuinely confused, and that only fueled my anger. How naïve did he think I was?
“Right,” I said, crossing my arms. “Just a coincidence that you’re here the moment I land, huh?” I smirked, my arms still folded.
Blake opened his mouth to speak, but I quickly cut him off. “You know what? I see through this. I know this is my family’s ridiculous plan. But let me make this clear:
