She had been immensely shocked that the house had held up its end of the bargain. She had rushed and taken the child into her arms and nursed him till he was well enough to be on his merry way. This time, she did something she wished she had done with sweet Lucy, she threaded the magic of the house through his veins.

That way, wherever he was, anytime and any day, should he want for safety or just to visit her, he found a way to get to her. And once she had moved to the witch’s village, it was made even easier for him.

She had been greatly surprised when he had driven up to her driveway the previous day. And all that drama was just her being her. She loved the boy like he was her own, and she was very sure the boy loved her as well.

As the couple turned to return to the house, Lucy thought it best to allow them to enjoy themselves a little more before she went into mama bear mode.
