Chapter 37. Fierce and Gentle
If it had been up to Beau, he would’ve left the opera at intermission. Mia looked absolutely stunning in the new dress he’d gotten her. She had no idea he’d actually left work early to go shopping to pick it out himself. From the diamond earrings to her heels, he’d picked every item, thinking of her the whole time. As excited as he’d been to see her in the gown, imagining taking it off of her had been his primary vision.
As he’d sat there, watching her so enthralled by the love story before her, it was all he could do to keep his hands off of her. His heart had been pounding in his chest, his breathing staggered, as he took her in. She was even more beautiful than the well-known lead actress on the stage below them. Beau had never seen a woman more gorgeous than the one sitting next to him.
