Chapter 117

She was sweating and her heart was pounding. She could still smell the sulfur from her vision and anger still wrestled in her. 

“Are you okay?” Alpha Aiden asked her, pulling her out of her head. 

Clary breathed out a sigh and locked eyes with the Alpha. “Um…I think I just saw a vision.” 

Aiden nodded. “I figured. You had been in a weird trance-like state for almost an hour, so I joined the dots together and guessed that it was a vision that you were having. That’s one of the reasons I did not try to disturb you.” 

Clary groaned internally. She wished that Aiden had disturbed her, she did not want to be anywhere near Star, the hybrid was way too good at playing mind games with her. One minute she would be feeling confident, and the next she would be feeling a heavy wave of depression washing over her.
