The room was silent as everyone stared at Star on the hardwood floor. It was now morning and the sun was no longer darkened, it was producing a beautiful golden light as it rose slowly into the sky. 

Bird chirped and a few weird noises that Clary did not recognize came from outside. 

“Are we not going to help him?” Sarah asked, not feeling too comfortable with just watching a man die. Yes, the man was a murderer and very evil but still, her heart broke watching him get slowly pulled away from them by the cold hands of death. 

She knew that he was half-demon but he was also half-werewolf, so he was one of them. 

“I–I don’t know,” Clary mumbled under her breath as she kept holding the hybrid’s hand. She knew that letting someone die was wrong but come on, this was Star! This was the man that she and Aiden were supposed to go into combat with.
