Chapter 161

“Come on, guys. You have Lara and me out here waiting like kids waiting to open up gifts on Christmas morning!” Zayn exclaimed, causing everyone to laugh. 

The door suddenly opened by itself and my eyes widened mildly. 

“Did that door just open by itself?” I took a step back, and Ashton and Zoe were amused by my reaction. 

The door opened wider and a golden retriever jumped out of the car, almost giving me a heart attack. “Gosh!” I exclaimed as I held Zayn’s arm tightly. 

“I’m not going to lie, I was a bit startled when that dog came out.” Zayn laughed lightly. “So that’s the surprise, huh? A doggie.” Zayn bend down and played with the dog. 

I had a small fear of dogs. One bit me when I was a kid and since then I have been terrified of them. No matter how cute and cuddly they were, I stayed my distance away from them.
