Chapter 192

"Don't!" Harry said sharply when Greyson went to grab a fleeing Brooklyn. "Don't touch her," he said and easily caught up to Brooklyn. "Babe, calm down, let me-"

"Get the hell off me!" Brooklyn shouted and shoved Harry away when he grabbed her. "Get the fuck away!"

"Let me explain-"

"No! I don't want to know!" Brooklyn yelled and she tuned on her heels and ran through the house. The sky had turned even darker and the rain was heavier. The darkness was broken by a quick flash of lightening and Brooklyn braced herself for the thunder, flinching when she heard it.

"Brooklyn, come back!" Harry yelled and Brooklyn quickly ran into the woods surrounding the house. Her heart was pounding and her breaths were coming out rapidly, but she kept running.

‘Stop running!’

The voice surprised Brooklyn and she stumbled, tripping up on a branch and falling to the ground.
