It’s been just over two months since Colton banned me from the castle. Changing his number and blocking me completely—he made sure I couldn’t reach him. Now I’m a single mom scraping by, cleaning pack members’ houses part-time just to buy food and clothes for Killian. I hate stooping so low, but I’ll swallow my pride for my son.

Today was my day off, and when the doorbell rang, I was surprised to see Sierra and Andrea standing on my porch, carrying bags of groceries and formula.

“So this is where you ended up,” Sierra said as I opened the door.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, wary.

“Just checking in,” Andrea said, stepping inside. Sierra followed, dropping bags on the kitchen table. “We brought groceries and formula for Killian.”

“Thanks,” I said, and they began unpacking.

“How are you holding up?” Sierra asked, neatly stacking cans in the pantry.

“Terrible,” I admitted. “But I’ll survive.”
