I froze. My cheeks burned hotter than any flame. Weston’s eyes snapped to mine, confusion and protectiveness warring in their depths. I opened my mouth to speak, but Camilla leaned forward, voice low and intimate, so only I could hear. “He told me all about last night—how you trembled under him, how he traced those scars and claimed them as his own. How softly you called his name…” She paused, letting the words settle like poison. Then she straightened, raising her wine-stained glass to her lips.
Heat raced through me—anger, embarrassment, something darker: doubt. Weston stared, pale but silent, as everyone turned to watch. I wanted to believe Camilla was lying. But the way his expression flickered…
“Camilla,” Weston said quietly, fingers tightening around my waist. “Enough.” His tone left no room for argument.
Camilla smirked, letting her wine-soaked hand drop. “Just ensuring everyone knows what the future Luna has been up to.”
