We reached the office in silence. Father closed the door behind us.
Dominic dropped into the armchair. “Phew. That was awkward.”
I shot him a look.
Father turned to me. “Son, I know nothing was ever formally settled with Camilla, but you know how people have viewed that match for years. This may become a problem.”
I exhaled. “I know. I’ll deal with her tomorrow.” I pulled the folded report from inside my coat. “Right now, there’s something more important you need to see.”
He took it without a word and started reading. “Three cases in almost four hundred years?”
“That’s all the archive found.”
His brow furrowed. “So the doctor was right to be concerned.”
