“Yes, Mr. David, I am fully aware that we only have three months until the contract expires.”

“That is correct Mrs. Mahir and none of the rules were broke, right?”

She heard what he had said — it took her so much time to process and give him an answer. She doesn’t have any other choice but to lie to him. They were going to get separated anyways. “Of course, ye… yes. No strings attached, nothing,” she chuckled nervously.

She ended the call and hugged her phone to her chest. It was odd and bothersome how her lawyer would call almost every day now that they had little amount of time left. Shouldn’t they be the ones looking for him?

He bugs her with calls, reminding her how they only had little time left and reminded her about the fine and consequences to be faced if they refused to get a divorce.
