Chapter 26. Squinting

Since the man arrived at Jae's home, Choi Ha Joon had been grinning. The living room had been made more important, and his father had brought in a stove table they had used for indoor barbecues after removing all the furniture, including the sofa, the display case and some of the expensive additions they had purchased while travelling abroad. He was sitting in the room with his parents at the time.

When Jae saw how exhausted his parents were after a long day at work but had to do this when they came home, he couldn't help but shake his head. Jae decided to go to the kitchen and open the refrigerator to fetch a can of Coca-Cola since he could not look at his parents, who were still attempting to attach the gas can to the stove. But just as he reached for the can of Coca-Cola, another hand snatched it up and drank it.
