I yanked the door open, silk robe slipping off one shoulder, ready to drag Professor Lang inside by his tie.
Instead it was just some random delivery guy, early twenties, curly brown hair, Domino’s cap tilted back, holding a steaming box like a peace offering.
I slammed the door so hard the hinges rattled, stormed back to the couch, and flopped down, fuming.
The nerve of the universe. The door creaked open anyway.

“Uh… the pizza’s already paid for,” he said, voice cracking a little. “Online order, big tip included. It would be a shame to waste it.”
I turned my head slowly, eyes narrowed.

The guy stood there, frozen, box balanced on one hand, eyes flicking from my bare legs to the gap in my robe and back up like he was trying to be polite and failing miserably.
