I slipped off Enzo’s lap while he was still catching his breath, kissed his cheek like a good girl, and padded naked back to the guest room.

The door was cracked open.

Luna and Luca were inside.

Both standing at the foot of the bed, arms crossed, eyes burning.

Luna spoke first, voice shaking with rage.

“Have you been fucking our dad this whole time?”

The words hit like a slap.

I let my face crumple instantly. Shoulders caved, tears welled fast and real this time, because some lies only work when there’s truth mixed in.

I sank to the floor, knees hitting the carpet, hands covering my face.

“He… he told me I had to leave tonight,” I sobbed, voice cracking. “Said I was causing too much trouble, that your mom was already suspicious. I begged him to let me stay just until I figured things out with my life. He said the only way he’d keep quiet, the only way he wouldn’t throw me out on the street… was if I let him…”
