Chapter 56

David shifts onto his back, freeing his hands and reaching up for me, but I instantly move back.

“Nuh-uh,” I tut. “Not until you answer me.”

Watching his jaw tense as he puts his hands back down onto the bed, I smile innocently down at him. I move my other knee up by his hip so that I am straddling just his right thigh. I keep myself held away from him, entirely aware that once I let myself press into him, I’ll be just as desperate as he seems, and my role reversal will come crashing down.

“If I tell you,” he finally replies, a wicked smile growing on his lips, “it will ruin half the fun, won’t it? I’d much rather just show you.”

“And I’d rather you follow simple instructions,” I counter bluntly, putting a hand on his chest and sitting up so that I tower above him.
