Chapter 33

Matthew

I am in the hallway, playing with Jennabeth in her cathouse. I asked her, "How are you?" I can tell she enjoys my company, but I also notice a confused look on her face. It occurs to me that she may be asking if I'm okay since she was present when I fainted. So, I gently clarify and say, "I'm doing fine, in fact, I've already recovered." While I speak, I can feel the softness of her fur under my fingers as I caress her.

I heard an approaching footsteps and I guessed it was my mum, I stood up after squatting for a while before meeting with her gaze.

"You're out here to check on her already." My mother said and I smiled.

"Wanted to Inform her I was doing fine already," I say looking down at Jenna's house, she was seated looking up at us.

The door to her house was left unlocked, so with one push from her she would be out.

"I had to put her there because I know she might just crawl back to your room... You know how clingy she is with you." Mum
