"I hope it's a lucrative night!" I said. I missed them.

"Where are your sluts?" Kat asked.

"So, funny thing," I said with a laugh. "You're not going to believe this. I just kicked them out. One of the girls didn't want to hold up her end of the bargain, so I came on her face and told her and her friend to get the fuck out."

"You're not serious," Kat said.

"Totally serious," I said. "I was thinking about maybe just coming home."

"Oh, daddy," Kat said, then I heard her hand cover the phone receiver. She must have been telling Jess what happened.

"You there?" I said.

"Yes, yes, sorry," Kat said, returning. Her tone gave me a strange, unfamiliar feeling. "You've earned a fun weekend, daddy. Is Nicole still in Vegas? You could always call her!"

Kat suggested I call Nicole? Something was definitely up.
