I put my phone away, drank some Champagne, and smiled to myself. My palms were sweating. I thought about doing a couple lines, but my heart was already racing.

Kat appeared looking relaxed and exquisite. The yellow dress flattered her.

She kissed me lightly. "So what's the plan?" she asked.

I refilled her glass and told her, "Finish this. Do the lines I have set out for you, and then you're coming with me."
