Chapter 213

Back in the great room, Jess and Nicole were hoovering up massive lines of cocaine. I gave Jess the strap-on and set about collecting Kat's road kit. I just had it together when she rushed out of the bedroom.

"My car is here," she said quickly. She stopped at the coffee table and at light speed snorted two quick lines. I gave her the vial and two oxys.

"Thanks, babe," she said breezily, taking the drugs. "I've got to go. I can't keep Tommy waiting."

It was the last time we saw her until Wednesday.

The only thing that went right over the next two days was that Nicole flew back to Vegas the same day she arrived, taking the redeye back home again so she could go to work the next morning. When she left, Kat already was overdue from returning from her appointment with Tommy. Jess wasn't concerned, and we were wiped out, so we went to bed.
