I propped my jaw in my palm, staring at the screen while Ariel cried her eyes out. “Can you please get me out of here? I am sorry for everything that I have done to you. I know we aren’t sisters anymore…”

I cut in, correcting her. “We were never sisters”

She wiped off her tears. “I can’t stay here, how could you sell someone to slavery in this age and time”

I took a sip of my wine. “You should have thought twice before you sold me into slavery. How did you get my number?”
