Chapter 57. Funeral

Since that day, Alexandro had stopped talking to me and as if that weren’t worse, he had asked Hannah not to say a word to me and no matter how much I tried to get her to spill what had happened outside the bakery, the mission was nearly impossible.
The security cameras contained no footage from the bakery during the time he had called me, which strongly suggested he had deleted the recordings.
What could have happened that day? Why did he want me to move? Knowing the type of person Alexandro was, he wasn’t the type to be easily shaken by fear but that day, his voice trembled with fear and it seemed more like he was on the verge of panicking.
Something was not adding up. However, I cleared my throat, quashing the thoughts that flooded through my mind before it could overwhelm me.
I shouldn’t think about Alexandro and his shenanigans, I should focus on the real reason why I was here.
