Despite the turn in things, I was still haunted by everything that he did— His words, his actions, and most importantly, the fact that he could ruin our friendship like that.

Irrespective of the fact that Thorne came back into my life by spreading warmth to it, there was still something about Alexandro that bugged me.

Maybe it was the extent of his betrayal that made it so hard for me to get rid of him in my mind.

I pushed the door to the bakery open and Hannah rushed towards me with a smile on her face. Regardless of the expression of joy boldly written on her face, I saw the way her eyes piqued with curiosity, like she was dying to ask me questions.
