Chapter 104

Third-Person POV

Alayana tried to control herself and looked up at Lance. Because he is not Isaac to feel scared. She believed Lance meant no harm to her. He is her life savior and the man who was kind enough to give her a normal life. She always thought of him as a friend and was sure he would understand her intentions.

“I… I am tired.” She lied. She felt embarrassed to ask him how he wanted her to repay his debt.

He looked into her eyes and tried to read her mind but she looked really tired. He sighed and let her go. “You can go back to your house. I will ask Mandy to prepare you dinner.”

“But.” she was about to say something but he replied to her question.

“I won’t be eating here tonight. I have business to attend to.” he replied and took her hand.

“Let me walk you to your house.” he said softly.

She lowered her eyes and nodded her head. His gentleness always moved her heart but she is not ready for any relationship.
