Chapter 230

“Are you ok?” Alayana asked once they were in the boat. She gave her blood to make him recover but a few wounds are going to leave marks on his body. It is evident that Wesley has not treated him well because of insecurities. She regretted not punishing Wesley and giving her promise before seeing Lance’s situation.

“Yeah fine. Don’t worry about me” He forced a smile and closed his eyes weakly. Though he helped Alayana with the war, he thought he failed as a man when Wesley captured and tortured him.

“Thank you for everything Lance. Without you we wouldn’t have ended the war peacefully” She knew he was not sleeping and was feeling low.

Lance opened his eyes slowly and looked at Alayana. Her pure and innocent eyes encouraged him to think positive again.

“Hmm. Everything started because of me, so I don’t think I have done much with the losses you suffered” He didn’t take the credit.

Alayana smiled lightly and patted his shoulder. She didn’t explain anymore
