Third-Person POV

Alayana’s reflexes were fast, and she moved away before the rogue could reach her. She didn’t even have a phone to call anyone for help. She was not a member of the pack to mind-link anyone.

“Don’t play hard to get… rogue. We are alone here. Why not be with me? I can take care of you,” he said, trying to grab her again.

“Are you sure? What if we both get caught?” she asked, changing the topic.

The man didn’t see her cunning look and thought she was challenging his ways. “I have many ways to take you away from here. Don’t you worry.”

“No. First, tell me how you came this far? Aren’t there warriors at that east side border? How can we escape?”

He looked at Alayana for a second, to see if he could trust her. But her beauty blinded his thoughts. “There is a hole near this path. If you go straight for two kilometers along this path, near a tree, there is a stone covering that hole. We can escape using that way.”
