Third-Person POV
Alayana looked up at his eyes. Suddenly, she wished to be his mate and relieve him of all his pain. But she did not know what the future held for her.
She nodded her head. “Yes, only mates care and love for each other truly,” she said as she witnessed her parents' love. Even Chris and Clarke proved it. So, after leaving the Blackash Pack, she wanted to find her mate.
Alpha Isaac sneered, “I don’t think so.” He remembered how his mother cheated on her father, who was her true mate, and married his father’s best friend. He did not believe a mate bond would let anyone stay together forever.
For some time, he drank gloomily, thinking of his father, but suddenly, he remembered Alayana’s song.
Though he made it look as if he did not hear her song, he actually heard her lyrics. He felt as if she was asking him, but he did not know how to reply. He still did not know what his feelings were for her.
