Luna’s POV

Tears welled up in my eyes and I just forced myself to sit on the ground. I'm having a hard time with the situation between the two of us.

When I realize it, there is already small hands wrapped around my back.

I swiftly grasped Athen's hand in mine and turned to face her. Was she aware of what happened earlier? I believe so, since this is not how she would behave in any other situation. My eyes continued to widen as I locked my gaze on her. She remains silent but bites her lip as though on the verge of crying.

I initially took a big breath and calmed myself. I examined the area where Adonis had previously passed. Perhaps he is now in the bedroom. I redirected my focus to Athen and embraced her.

"Wasn't it you who walked inside?  Why did you come out again?”

“Because I want to see daddy. But he seems different.”
