Layla’s POV
The following morning, I woke up to the stinging sunlight invading my eyes. I squint to adjust better to the sudden brightness in the room.
I heard the water running in the bathroom and finally opened my eyes after the much-needed contemplation. I picked myself up and stepped off the bed. I stepped towards the bathroom and leaned on the door.
I did not know why I was at the door listening in on the water running, but I knew it was suiting, and at some point, everything blended with the background, and I was just standing there, staring into the air. The door suddenly pulled open, and I was falling, only stopping when I collided with a hard, solid, wet body.
