Logan’s POV
Should I let this go? Should I just trust her? But every fiber of my being screamed that I needed to know the truth.
Taking a deep breath, I slowly lifted the covers off me, moving inch by inch so I wouldn’t disturb them. Isabella didn’t stir, her breathing still steady. I hesitated for a moment, watching her face closely to see if she was truly asleep.
Her eyelids didn’t flutter, her chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm. She seemed completely unaware of my movements. Good. Stay asleep.
I swung my legs over the side of the bed, planting my feet softly on the floor. The cool surface sent a slight shiver up my spine, but I ignored it. My focus was solely on finding that phone.
