Maddie's POV

The moment Layla told me that Jason and Little Jason were in Puerto Rico, a sinking feeling settled in my chest. This was bad. Really bad.

I had promised Jason…sworn to him…that I wouldn’t let any man get too close to Layla. 

That was the condition he gave me when he let her come here, the only reason he had trusted me enough to let her go. 

And now, not only had a man come close to her, but it was Logan.

I ran a hand through my hair, frustration bubbling inside me. This was all Isabella’s fault.

That woman never stopped causing problems. I could already guess exactly how this had played out. 

She had probably called Jason, planting the idea in his head that Logan and Layla were secretly meeting. 

I could hear her smug voice in my head, feeding Jason just enough information to make him furious but not enough for him to confirm anything himself.
