Chapter 889

Dani's POV

Logan grinned as he caught Damien in a firm hug, holding his son close. It was a rare sight, seeing Logan so at ease, so unguarded. But that was the effect Damien had on him.

After a moment, Logan pulled back, resting a hand on Damien’s head. 

"I want you to meet someone," he began, turning slightly to gesture at me. 

"He’s more than a friend…he’s like a brother to me."

But before Logan could even finish his introduction, Damien spoke up.

"I remember Uncle Dani."

Both Logan and I froze for a second.

I hadn’t expected him to recognize me so quickly. I had braced myself for a moment of hesitation, for confusion, maybe even for questions. But instead, he had spoken with complete certainty.
