Logan’s POV

I sat in the backseat of my car, my fist repeatedly slamming against the leather as frustration burned through me. 

My jaw clenched, my chest tightened, and no matter how hard I tried to control it, the pain only grew stronger.

Layla was engaged.

Engaged.

The word felt like a blade slicing through my chest, leaving a wound that refused to heal.

I had barely been able to hold myself together when Maddie spat those words at me.
