Chapter 158. Outright Rejection

When Hazel arrived as agreed, Amber had already been waiting at a window-side table. Since they weren’t discussing anything secret, Amber had purposely chosen an open hall, selecting the window seat to ensure a spacious environment where their conversation wouldn’t become awkward.

Before Hazel could sit down, the waiter arrived with the dishes Amber had already ordered. In no time, the food began to arrive-everything was dishes that Hazel loved.

At first, Hazel thought Amber might be trying to assert some kind of dominance by ordering all the dishes, but it turned out they were all her favorites.

However, upon further thought, Hazel realized that this wasn’t necessarily a kind gesture. Given that she and Amber were on opposing sides, it wasn’t a good thing to have her rival know so much about her preferences.

“It seems like Agent Amber knows me quite well. I haven’t even arrived yet, and all the dishes are my favorites,” Hazel remarked with a smile, noticing
