Chapter 21. Dialogue
Damon had intended to have a calm conversation with Hazel, but her sharp words immediately provoked him. His patience was quickly worn thin.
“I’m here to ask about the incident online. Don’t worry, I’m not here to make accusations, I just want to understand what happened. If you don’t tell me, I’ll keep bothering you until you do.”
Knowing that Hazel wasn’t easy to deal with, Damon had already planned his approach before arriving.
Hazel wasn’t angry. She simply turned back to her work, “I’m busy right now. If you really want to talk, then sit over there and wait until I finish.”
It wasn’t meant to be difficult for him; the company’s annual plan was detailed down to monthly and weekly schedules, and Hazel had a bit of an obsessive personality. She didn’t like being interrupted before finishing a task.
Damon raised an eyebrow, then sat on the nearby sofa, fiddling with his phone, occasionally glancing at Hazel.
