Chapter 227. Time to Pay
When they returned home, the living room only had Mark and Carlos, who was playing chess with him.
Seeing that only Chrissy was with Damon, Mark looked toward the door with anticipation. “Why is it just the two of you? Where are Hazel and her friend?”
Carlos spoke without hesitation, showing no consideration for Damon. “They probably didn’t get picked up. Xander must have taken her.”
There were only a few people present, and it didn’t matter if they stayed or left. Everyone knew the situation between Hazel and Damon.
Mark rolled his eyes at Damon. “Useless. You can’t even bring your favorite girl to dinner. If I had known, I would have gone to the airport to bring Hazel back myself.”
Grumbling as he walked toward the dining table, Mark saw that the servants had already begun to bring out the food, having noticed Damon’s car arriving.
