Chapter 81. Thrilling

Hazel had indeed been caught up with work, and lately, she’d been spending more time with Sully and Xander. That left Eddie feeling a little left out.

But seeing his sad, pitiful look, Hazel still gave him a cold stare.

“Is it because I haven’t taken you out for a nice meal? Whether you see me or not doesn’t really matter to you, does it?”

“Boss, what are you saying?” Eddie rushed up to Hazel, frowning deeply, clearly upset by her words.

“You’re actually doubting my feelings for you? I really missed you! It’s not just about the meals!”

With that, Eddie squatted down next to Hazel. “Boss, did you forget the task you gave me?”

He said this with a mysterious air, even as Sully stepped aside, avoiding them.
