“You can leave now.” Kade’s gruff tone said to Christopher the butler who had just shown them to Kade’s room.

The room was a large, lavish chamber, decorated with rich tapestries and carpets. A large four-poster bed was the focal point of the room, draped in crimson silk and hung with velvet curtains. The floor was covered in thick rugs, and the windows were adorned with golden drapes. There was a large fireplace in the corner, and the walls were lined with bookshelves filled with tomes of history, philosophy, and literature.
