Chapter 51
Kade practically pushes her toward the exit, squeezing past through the crowd of the pub before finally getting out into the empty hallway.
“Are you all right?” She asked, placing a hand over her throbbing hip. She was confused about the look on Kade’s face—he looked out of place, no one could make Kade look like that. “What is it?”
“I can’t feel my wolf.” Kade said, his voice coming out gruff.
“Are you a werewolf?” Okay that was not the right question for Imani to ask but she was confused. He clearly was a werewolf but how? “How can I help? I don’t even understand, how is it possible you can’t feel your wolf?” Again, was he a werewolf?
“That stumble in there was no accident. They meant to knock me over. To overwhelm me. I didn’t see who touched me. Too many tried to help me to my feet.” His voice was coming out so strained that it worried Imani to the bone.
“I think the girl you gave the rose to might be involved. She ran into us once, do you remember?
